Don’t Make Me Think - Web Usabililty
April 29th, 2008
Usability is essential and any web agency who claims to make unusable sites are probably not going to be around for long!
“Don’t make me think” is the book from Steve Krug who is a leading expert on the subject. Having read it I was suitably impressed at how easy it was to read (dare I say usable).
The book takes a few short hours to read and gives a great insight into usability, including how people think when they visit sites. It is especially useful if you cannot afford to pay £1k+ for an expert to take a look at it for you and covers off most key areas of site usability.
What I found particularly interesting was the way in which people make decisions which seems to be more of a litmus test for success method rather than assessing all the options and choosing the best.
Who should read it: Anyone who designs websites or is involved in usability
Costs: £19.99
